Here is a great idea especially if you already just love the smell of coffee. My husband loves the smell of coffee throughout the house and he just loves to drink it. Me on the other hand…I like it but not like him. Anyways put some fresh or even used coffee grounds in a bowl and in the freezer over night and in the morning that stinky smell will be gone. I sometimes add a little vanilla extract too. Be sure to get rid oft he cause of the odor! Filed under: Cleaning Tips Comments: None |

I just love to go berry picking. I prefer to go strawberry picking more so than blueberry picking however either way I come home with berry stains on my hands that just seem like it is never going to go away. If you berry stains do not come off with soap and water try a lemon or lemon juice. It really works in a matter of minutes you will have not stains on your hands! Do not lick your fingers when you are cooking. Not only is it really gross for the peopl that will be eating your food but you could be poisoning yourself. If you are dealing with chicken or raw eggs you could get salmonella. This can be easily avoided if you just restrain from the the fingers! And always wash your hands. You do not want to get everyone else sick and you just may. Just remember this - sometimes you just don’t think to so make a little sign to remind yourself. Get nice soap too - it will make you want to wash your hands. Filed under: Cooking Tips Comments: None |

Have you ever thought about putting fresh rose petals on your wedding cake. My sister in law got married and they were all over the place. Her favorite flower is the pink rose - so they had them on the tables in the bowls and even on the cake. And of course that is what the little flower girls were throwing all over the place when they went down the aisle. The thing is that flower pedals are not even full flowers so if you want quality flowers but at very affordable prices that are well below the wholesale prices then you have to check out Fifty Flowers. They have the flowers that you need for your special occasion. Filed under: Cooking Tips Comments: None |

This is a great tip that has saved me so much time cleaning. If you have a terrible messy pan that you know will take you either 3 hours to scrub or a week to soak it out. Then here is what you do. You go do a load of laundry and dry it and use that fabric softener. Take the sheet when you are done and put it in the pan filled with water. After an hours of it soaking it will be a breeze to clean. I don’t use a new softener sheet because I figure … why waist one! Filed under: Cleaning Tips Comments: 1 Comment |

I just love seafood and Gulf oysters make for a fabulous appetizer and I like them raw and in dishes but you really have to be careful when you eat any sort of seafood raw. And you have to make sure that you get them from a reputable place. Oysters and other seafood can really cause health problems so be sure to read up on it before you have some. And you should never have raw seafood when you are pregnant, taking certain medications or have pre existing health conditions. But they are just so incredibly good!! I love them fried and steamed…either way they are good to me Filed under: Appetizers and Dips Comments: None |

What are you going to do when you retire? I will probably be working until I am 90 because I think there will be little or nothing left of anything for my generation…and for the little ones of today…there may not be such a thing as retirement! Everything is so expensive because he value of th dollar bill is worthless it seems. That is why you have to find something like the gold coin that will never lose it’s value to invest in. And the Monaco Rare Coin company can help you start your own rare coin collection and investment. They are part of the well known Monex Deposit Company so you know you are in good investment hands.
