Where do you get your Halloween candy? I usually get it from CVS or the local store but they charge just so much if you ask me. So, I have been searching online for great candy buys and I am ordering them now..although the sooner I get the candy the more chances I will be eating it before Halloween even arrives and then I will not only have spent all the money on candy but I would have eaten it all and still have to go out and overspend for it!! I think it is a great thing to introduce to your child. Here is the thing though….alot of people are always worried about the mess that comes along with it…that is ok. Let your child make a little mess. As long as they are not doing it on purpose then what is the harm. It is find as long as you also teach them to clean up. That is very important. Help them clean up but show them how and start them with this early. Otherwise they will never clean up and sometimes certain things have a special clean up process. Have fun!!! I just got an ipod and I know I am so behind the times. But I just love to cook and even clean to the music. It just makes it so much more enjoyable. And now there are these ipods that you can get that hook up under your cabinets. That is something that I am looking into. But if you like to cook – try it to music. Just be sure to concentrate and put that timer on. That is the only draw back – I got a little distracted with the music and I almost ruined my dish. It wasn’t that big of a dish but still!!! Do you have trouble opening those chestnut shells? No problem here is what you do. Use the pointed end of the bottle opener that you have. You pierce the tops and the bottoms of them and then just boil them and you will have chestnuts without the shells. Just boil it for 10 minute and then you will be all set. My grandmother told me this tip and she is full of great stuff. I should really talk to her more because she is amazing in the kitchen! Filed under: Cooking Tips andPersonal Stories Comments: None |
