I got my mother in law some canvas pictures of the grandkids for her place last year and she just loved it so I am going to get some more for her this year. They have not changed too much so I may just do it every other year but they really do make for a great gift. She loved it and personally I loved it too – I am thinking of getting some for myself. And a picture gift is not only timeless but you can enjoy it all the time by just putting it on the right spot on the wall! Filed under: Home and Family Comments: None |

You never think that you are going to need roadside assistance but it happens all the time. All of those mailings and flyers you go telling you that you should sign up for that roadside assistance club you just carelessly threw away not thinking that you would be the one that breaks down at 10 p.m. at night on a road that you are not familiar with and your cell phone has limited batteries..just enough for that one phone call to roadside assistance. It is a small price to pay for your sense of security. Infact, If you are a parent who has a child that is driving then this not only makes for a great gift to them but also you! In my kitchen I have tile looking laminate flooring and I love it – it really does look like tile but without any of the hassle. And if you have dogs or kids then you know that having hardwood floors is not always the best idea. I love hardwood floors but if you want them to stay looking nice then you have to take care of them well. I have the wood looking laminate in my living room and I love it. It doesn’t scratch and if someone drops something on it it is not going to chip and it is easy to clean up and keep clean looking. Filed under: Home and Family Comments: None |

When it comes to real wood – it is just better for you and the environment. The particle board that they make stuff out of today will actually leach into the air formadelhyde. So, in our efforts to be “green” and save the trees…we are killing ourselves with fake stuff and breathing in toxins. And there is nothing like the look of real pine beds as opposed to the fake junk that will look like junk after around 3 years. Pay a little more now and save in the long run with something nice.
