Slime Juice
Posted on 10.16.07 by itscrazydelicious @

Really simple but if you kids do not really like juice maybe this is a way that they will actually drink it. The recipe is called Slime Juice. It goes great with breakfast food and is a breeze to make which is always a good thing in the morning when you are probably running around like a nut already :)

I got this from the site Parenting Teens. I think that kids of all ages may like this weird drink :)

6 oz Package of Blue Kool-Aid
12 oz Can Orange Juice Concentrate with plup
1 Gallon Water
PREPARATION:
In a large container mix all of the ingredients together. Wonderful green slime type drink for Halloween fun

Halloween Cocktails
Posted on 10.14.07 by itscrazydelicious @

For those adults that are going to be having halloween parties I found a site that had really great looking halloween cocktails for the occation. It is at the Drinkalizer. There is one called the Swamp thing that really didn’t seem that bad. I am not much of a cocktail drinker but I think that I would like what is in this one. I guess it is all a matter of personal taste. They have around a dozen halloween cocktail recipes to choose from though so you may just find that one that you really like!

Mayan Hot Chocolate
Posted on 10.14.07 by itscrazydelicious @

Here is a great recipe for Mayan Hot Chocolate from What’s Cooking America. This just seems so delicious. I have not tried this one yet because I need some of the ingredients but I think that it would be fabulous. And I really like the fact that there is vanilla bean in this one. This just seems like the perfect hot chocolate for those colder nights that are coming up pretty soon!

2 cups boiling water
1 chile pepper, cut in half, seeds removed (with gloves)
5 cups light cream or whole or nonfat milk
1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
1 to 2 cinnamon sticks
8 ounces bittersweet chocolate or
3 tablets Mexican chocolate, cut into 1/4-inch pieces
2 tablespoons sugar or honey, or to taste
l tablespoon almonds or hazelnuts, ground extra fine
Whipped cream

In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, add chile pepper to boiling water. Cook until liquid is reduced to 1 cup. Remove chile pepper; strain water and set aside.

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cream or milk, vanilla bean and cinnamon stick until bubbles appear around the edge. Reduce heat to low; add chocolate and sugar or honey; whisk occasionally until chocolate is melted and sugar dissolves. Turn off heat; remove vanilla bean and cinnamon stick. Add chile-infused water, a little at a time, tasting to make sure the flavor isn’t too strong. If chocolate is too thick, thin with a little more milk.

Serve in small cups and offer ground almonds or hazelnuts and whipped cream.

Juice Recipe Site
Posted on 09.27.07 by itscrazydelicious @

Living Foods is a great site to go to if you like juice recipes. I just recently really got on the band wagon with juices and I just can not get enough. I can not tell you how much better a juice tastes when it is relaly fresh. It is just so much better than the bottled stuff and you know exactly what is in too which is just so much healthier probably than all those sugars and preservatives.
