I would never cook with wine that I would not drink. Why cheap out on the wine you would cook with. It really does make a huge difference in the meal that you are making. I actually put a little wine in the basting of my turkey and every one just love my turkey. But I only use the red and white wine that I would drink at the table with it. I have used the cheap cooking wine but you can really tell the difference in the taste that is for sure! Filed under: Cooking Tips Comments: None |

I always tend to drop things…alot. Make sure that if you drop liquid on your wooden drawers of cabinets then you clean it up. Otherwise they will get really dirty and grimy and it will be so much harder to clean later. I polish my cabinets so that it is relaly easy to clean up when I do drop stuff on them. And I do all the time. Same thing with the floor. I prefer linoleum so it is easy to clean up but as with anything if you do not do it right away it is harder. Cleaning just comes with the territory of cooking!! Filed under: Cleaning Tips andCooking Tips Comments: 2 Comments |

There are somethings you can get away with when you are doing your grocery shopping when it comes to generic brands but then there are others that you just can not do. Like ice cream…I find that it ices up way too quick but pop tarts are top on my list. You can not get the generic pop tarts because they are just so incredibly discusting in my opinion!!! Pick and choose how you are going to save you food money! Filed under: Cooking Tips Comments: None |

I did not wear a cooking apron one day when I was making something – I had forgotten that I said I was going to make and bring something in and I had to wake up early to make it and I think I ruined my nice blouse because I got grease on it. I am thinking it will come out because I realized I did it right away so it didn’t have time to set. That is why you should just always wear those cooking aprons and they have really cute ones for chirstmas time…I think I should go and order one! Filed under: Cooking Tips Comments: None |
