I have always had a gas grill and my grandfather has always had electric grills while my father loves to have the old fashioned charcoal grill. There is something to be said about each of them…electric grills are by far the easiest however I love having hamburgers on the charcoal grills. I guess it is all in what you like but now is the time to get your favorite one because the weather is great and it is definately barbeque weather these days. I am a huge fan of coconut oil. It is so much better to fry with and it doesn’t smoke like other oils. And it is so much more healthy for you. Try replacing 1/2 of the butter you melt on your popcorn with coconut oil…so good. And I had coconut oil so it doesn’t taste like coconut. Filed under: Cooking Tips Comments: None |

I just love cooking with olive oil. And it is just so much better than the vegetable oil. And I don’t know about you but have you found that the price of vegetable oil has gone up quite a bit in the last few months. It is fine though because I have been using the other oils. Like the canola oil – that is very good too. I really do not notice a difference in taste either. I mean some recipes I don’t change it because I am not familiar enough with them but for the most part I am trying to limit my vegetable oil intake! Filed under: Cooking Tips Comments: None |

When you go to make something sometimes it says that you should grease your pan. You do not have to go out and get all the fanny greasers in the spray bottles..however it is easier and less messy. But you can just use butter. That is what I use and it does the trick. Just cut a little piece of butter and spread it on with a paper towel…simple as that. Filed under: Cooking Tips Comments: None |
