Here is a great idea especially if you already just love the smell of coffee. My husband loves the smell of coffee throughout the house and he just loves to drink it. Me on the other hand…I like it but not like him. Anyways put some fresh or even used coffee grounds in a bowl and in the freezer over night and in the morning that stinky smell will be gone. I sometimes add a little vanilla extract too. Be sure to get rid oft he cause of the odor! Filed under: Cleaning Tips Comments: 3 Comments |

This is a great tip that has saved me so much time cleaning. If you have a terrible messy pan that you know will take you either 3 hours to scrub or a week to soak it out. Then here is what you do. You go do a load of laundry and dry it and use that fabric softener. Take the sheet when you are done and put it in the pan filled with water. After an hours of it soaking it will be a breeze to clean. I don’t use a new softener sheet because I figure … why waist one! Filed under: Cleaning Tips Comments: 1 Comment |

I don’t know about you but it really drives me crazy when I go to do the dishes and there is food on the plates. Dried up food that has been there for a few days just encrusted on. And not things that are easy to get off either. I am talking about potatoes and macaroni and speghetti sauce. Now, I have an ok dishwasher but it is not a garbage disposal. Just rinse off the plates so that they can get cleaned properly. Then they wonder why they do not get cleaned – there is food in the dishwasher! Filed under: Cleaning Tips Comments: None |

I personally love Tea Tree Oil. I have it in my cleansers and my diffusers and I even put it in the bath with epsom salts. It is really great stuff. And if you have a small bottle of distilled water and add a few drops of the tea tree oil the essential oil then it makes for a great spray to keep things fresh or to even clean your cupboards with. Add a little to vinegar and you will make a great disinfectant! Filed under: Cleaning Tips Comments: None |
