Another tip for the folks with a garbage disposal - run a fresh lemon down the disposal once a month. It prevents the buildup of nasty smells and makes the whole kitchen fresh! Worms love them and they're great for your garden. I used vanilla for another trick... when you're selling a home, you can put a little bit of vanilla on a piece of tin foil in a mini pie dish, or make a form of tin foil and put it into your oven. Before you have an open house, or a showing, heat up the oven and the smell of fresh baked 'something' will permeate the house.
