I am always cleaning my oven … and oven cleaner really does work. But it also has other uses that I was very happy to find out about and use. I use a curling iron on a regular basis and if you use a curling iron as well as hair spray or some other sort of hair gel or product then you know how gross your curling iron could get. Try cleaning your curling iron with your oven cleaner. It works - my curling iron had so much residue and gook on it and now it doesn’t!
