Have you hears of the Purple Party? The World Alzheimer’s Day is September 21st…this Friday! So I encourage all to have a “Purple Party” event hosting and drive donations this month so that you can qualify for the matching funds donation. ALL donations in made during the month of September will be matched dollar-for-dollar by The Harrah’s Foundation.

If you are planning on hosting a party…keep in mind of the cause and to hst a “socially responsible” party. Establish and maintain a code of ethics when hosting. There are actually many ways you can host your Purple Party that will help drive donations and not only that but general awareness to Alzheimer’s. And you can register on Actionalz.org where you can actually make your own page and even send email reminders to you guests. And if your guests can not attend your event then you can encourage and allow for online donations also.

And remember…You will get a free World Alzheimer’s Day party kit if you are one of the first 500 people that agree to raise $150 and register your party.

Here are some great ideas for some parties that you could through…Have a dinner party or a movie night! Or if you like poker that would always bring in a great crowd! If you are planning on having a wedding a baby shower - ask for donations to this cause rather than gifts. Hold a block party on your street and get your whole community involved! Or even better whold a local sporting event like a football game and all proceeds with be donated. It is a great time for a football game since it is football season. What ever your party may be…be creative and have fun with it but keep it in all clean taste fun.
